According to family lore, Dr. Goodsell knew she would be a veterinarian before she could even speak the word. Firm in her belief, Dr. Goodsell attended undergraduate at Michigan State University studying zoology and, after receiving early admission, she graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Goodsell returned to her hometown in Metro Detroit where she practiced general medicine and shelter medicine. In the years since Dr. Goodsell has continued to grow her knowledge of veterinary medicine as she grew her family. In 2018, shortly after the birth of her second set of twins, Dr. Goodsell moved her family to the Grand Haven area and began her certification in hospice and palliative medicine through the IAAHPC. She continues to live there today, caring for her ever-expanding brood, which, at present, includes 2 senior dogs, 3 cats, 4 children, and 1 goldfish.
