We welcome new grads and seasoned veterinarians, offering mentoring and training to those who have limited hospice experience. Heaven at Home does have COVID policies in place to protect our veterinarians, staff, and the clients we visit, as well as flexible scheduling and benefits.
Heaven at Home Pet Hospice is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the role of Hospice Coordinator. This position would be full time and your schedule would be somewhat flexible.
Duties will include:
- Providing in-home and virtual QOL assessments, helping guide families through end of life decisions and preparing them for loss
- In-home nursing visits to perform rechecks, in-home diagnostics (blood pressure, bloodwork, UA), medication or fluid administration, and client education
- Keeping a roster of current hospice clients/patients, checking in with them regularly to see how the patient is doing, being liaison between doctor and client
- Keeping hospice supplies in stock
- Working closely with other care coordinators and doctors on the team, assisting with guidance and communication for our current patients, including general email/phone communications with regards to triage, nursing care, or other patient concerns
- Assist doctors with hospice appointments, transcribing notes into patient records, sending hospice plans to rDVMs and clients
- Attending marketing events to increase awareness of Heaven at Home
- Helping out with Lunch and Learns at area clinics
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a dependable vehicle
