Looking for something outside the box or a change to your everyday work routine? Are you passionate about end-of-life care? Consider a position with Heaven at Home Pet Hospice!
Feel appreciated like you never have before, providing an experience for families that won’t be forgotten. Whether it’s helping a family make decisions for their aging kitty over a video call, providing palliative care for a pup with cancer, or going to a home to help a family say goodbye to their elderly pet, we take the time to answer questions, share stories, and bring peace and comfort to both the pet and the family.
We welcome new grads and seasoned veterinarians, offering mentoring and training to those who have limited hospice experience. Heaven at Home does have COVID policies in place to protect our veterinarians, staff, and the clients we visit, as well as flexible scheduling and benefits.
Heaven at Home Aftercare Center is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated full-time Aftercare Assistant. Some lifting, squatting, kneeling, bending, and standing will be required and the candidate should be able to lift and maneuver pets up to 50 pounds without assistance, and pets over 50 pounds with assistance. We are seeking a candidate who has the ability to work as a team and also independently.

Also required is the ability to pass a physical to allow respirator and personal protective equipment use, as well as passing a background check. This position may include some weekends, mornings, and evening shifts, but on a predictable schedule, averaging 30-40 hours per week.
We will begin scheduling interviews after March 6, 2022.

Responsibilities will include answering phone calls from potential clients or current hospice clients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, keeping up with laundry, and occasionally attending pet-oriented events (i.e, Pints for Pits or the Pet Expo) to help spread the word about our services.
Previous veterinary or social work/counseling experience is preferred but not required.
