Dr. Chris O’Rourke grew up in Clarkston, MI, and attended Michigan State University, where she received her DVM. Based on her 34 years of veterinary experience, Dr. O’Rourke has become a passionate advocate for peaceful and painless end-of-life transitions. The idea of helping other pet parents began to emerge as she provided end-of-life care for her cherished Sydney, a shelter dog who was part of her life for 16 wonderful years. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and is certified in Veterinary Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPV).
Dr. O’Rourke has lived all over the US, including Madison WI, Plattsburgh NY, Rochester MN, Bozeman MT, and Lincoln NE. In 2020, she decided to return to Michigan to be close to family and settled in Muskegon to be near our beautiful Lake Michigan! In her free time, Dr. O’Rourke enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and soaking up the sun at Lake Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her kitties, Ella and Frankie, who always make her laugh and appreciate how much our furry friends add to our lives.
