I loved Harriet since the minute she was born. The pup of an outside Collie on a chain. My daughter Julia and I rescued the mom and puppies – I kept putting Harriet in the dead pile and Julia would yell she’s alive. I kept the two surviving puppies despite choosing them instead of my marriage. I knew my husband could survive without me, but not these huge dogs. Maude died before she was ten, so worried about protecting everything. Harriet was the kindest dog rescuing birds, squirrels, cats, me.
I am so grateful that we said goodbye together. Thank you, I will love Harriet forever
