In Memoriam: Roxy and Gypsy

By Judith, published on July 28th, 2025
"I can't remember the driveway who came out. But she was so sweet and sensitive to roxys end ofnlife and to the fact we had already lost gypsy that morning. I never pictured a life without my dogs as silly as that sounds. But that lady made the most horrific day of my life so much more easier and meaningful. We could do it outside. She let me tell her stories of my babies. And Roxy passed in my lilies where she had always laid. If I ever get another dog, and if the time ever comes, heaven at home is my safe place for all my babies. Thank you. Truly. "

The bestest puppies a young family could’ve ever asked for. Roxy lived to be 11 years old. Gypsy lived to be 10 years old. We got Roxy at 12 weeks and Gypsy when she was 5 weeks (Roxy was less than a year old). These two grew up as sisters and close bonded. Always with each other. Eating each other’s food, to laying on each other. To following each other’s ques to do the adventurous things (running the swamps to tackling dad who hid in blankets to play). They were my protectors. They were my babies pillows and TV partners. They ate my peppers and potatoes but what they didn’t know was I always made sure I had extra so they had a special treat when I cooked dinner. To say I loved these two with my entire being is an understatement. The whole family does. We lost Gypsy at 3am. Roxy’s appointment was scheduled at 1:30pm, and she was gone by 3pm when her heartbeat was checked. Together in life and in departed. I sure hope they are running wild and free and chasing all the kitties they can (they loved their kitties as much as they loved their human babies).

I’ll never love a pair of dogs as much as I loved these two pure souls. My world♥️
