Dr. Linnea Theisen

DVM

Dr. Theisen grew up in New York and attended Pennsylvania State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Bioscience. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2010.

Following graduation, Dr. Theisen practiced as a conventional equine veterinarian for five years in eastern North Carolina. During this time, she became certified in multiple integrative modalities, including chiropractic (VSMT) and acupuncture (CVA). In 2015, she established her own integrative veterinary practice, where she has spent over a decade providing holistic veterinary care for small animals, horses, and farm animals.

Dr. Theisen recently relocated to the Grand Rapids area with her husband, who is originally from West Michigan, to be closer to family. She is honored to support pets and their families with compassionate end-of-life care through Heaven at Home.

At home, her own “fur kids” include four dogs—Odie (14-year-old Beagle), Dylan (9-year-old Golden Retriever), Gracie (7-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix), and Ellie (4-year-old American Foxhound)—and one senior cat, Sweet Pea (18-year-old domestic shorthair). When not working, Dr. Theisen enjoys being outdoors, hiking with her dogs and husband, horseback riding, gardening, and yoga.
