In Memoriam: Sophie

By Barry and Wendy Sullivan published on January 25th, 2022
"We were extremely pleased with Heaven At Home. Everyone was kind, helpful and sympathetic. I will recommend them to friends and family."
Sophie was our beautiful 6 year old Dalmatian. She loved chasing squirrels, riding in our truck, going camping, and on the pontoon boat. We are both retired so we had lots of time to spoil her. We also have 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons, and Sophie loved playing with the kids. Sophie was diagnosed with kidney failure and we lost her on Christmas Eve. We both miss her so much. Our lives will never… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Blu and Gussy

By Pam Foster published on January 25th, 2022
"Dr. Tillman (with Blu) and Dr. Brush (with Gussy) assisted our family in transitioning both over "The Rainbow Bridge". I cannot say enough good things about either of them and their compassion for what they do!…"
Blu, our cattle dog mix, lived till the ripe old age of 13 1/2 after we adopted her as a puppy from the Capital Area Humane Society. We had to make the decision to humanely euthanize her in April 2021 due to dementia and senior arthritis. She was a great dog and a part of our family. Gussy, our basset hound, only knew Blu as his "mom" and sorely missed her every day. Gus developed… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Luka

By Monique Johnson published on January 25th, 2022
"Dr. Barnes was more than we could have hoped for on our very tough day. She provided support and guidance for helping my kids through the process and we are so grateful. Luka had such a…"
Luka enriched our lives for 14 adventurous years, and he was such a gift we will always cherish. He traveled across the county multiple times, lived with us in 16 different places and stepped into both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. He rode thousands of miles with us and was so adaptable and loving through it all. Luka was very smart too. As a puppy, he could pick out which toy I named with up… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: River

By Maureen Rice published on January 11th, 2022
"I would like to thank Dr. Kim for her kindness and compassion."
How lucky am I to have had 12 plus years with my sweet golden retriever, River. Every day was a gift. He was my sunshine and will always hold a spot in my heart. Goodbyes are never easy with those you love, yet I am relieved he is no longer suffering. Together, River and I explored parks and trails all over West Michigan, often before daylight. He loved snow as much as I do and… Read The Rest of This Memorial

"The staff did a great job. Dr. Kim was very supportive & kind throughout the process. Wouldn't have done it any other way!"
Emily had a very funny personality. She did what she wanted, when she wanted (that's a bulldog for ya)! She loved to spend her days sleeping and snuggling. Emily is truly & dearly missed. Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Ashley

By Dennis and Kimberly Jeltema published on November 16th, 2021
"Heaven at Home was amazing. We have had previous experience with the loss of a pet and this experience was by far most peaceful and kind. We are so grateful for your services and kind people,…"
We had just bought our first real house and we have always had cats but couldn't really have dogs where we lived. I started bugging my husband for a puppy but he grew up in a rural area and their dogs were outside, not really pet, pets. I, on the other-hand, grew up with German Shepherds and had the best memories with them. One day I was looking on Craigslist at puppies and came across… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Minnie

By Kate published on August 25th, 2021
"We were so glad we were able to have Heaven at Home help us. We could not have done it without Dr. Hoss. It was very comforting to know that Minnie would not suffer anymore."
When we lived in St. Louis, MO we adopted Minnie, a Maine Coon mix. She could fit in your hand but grew to be 18 pounds! She was very sweet and cuddly from the minute we got her. We moved to Chicago when Minnie was 8 and she became a "city cat." (Always inside, no worries). She adjusted to high rise living very well and loved gazing out the windows - 23 floors up! In Memoriam: Hannah

By Kevin & Malinda published on February 16th, 2021
"You were able to give us 6 more wonderful months with Hannah, for that, I can never thank you enough. From the first phone call I made to the office I knew that I had made…"
Hannah's Story: Hannah was a present to me after I graduated from nursing school. She was my very first dog I could call my own. I never imagined I would have the bond that I did with her. Her love for us was unconditional and so pure. As a puppy, she loved to curl up next to us on the couch and soak up all the attention we were willing to give. At first, she… Read The Rest of This Memorial
