In Memoriam: Brody Morrison

By The Morrison Family published on March 21st, 2019
"We will miss Brody and all the love he has given throughout his life. We hope to see you once again when we can all run free in heaven together. We love you Brody."
We adopted Brody from the Humane Society of West Olive in Michigan around nine years ago. We did a meet and greet with him in one of the Humane Society’s private offices after finding him online. They let him into the room and immediately he started running around, peeing on everything and trying to get away. It wasn’t until I had my wife leave the room, to go get another dog we were interested in,… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Tripp Ullmer

By The Ullmer Family published on February 12th, 2019
"Thank you for the incredible service you provide. There is nothing worse than that fateful drive to the veterinarian knowing you are putting your pet down, and the lonely drive home. We will be calling you…"
We adopted Tripp in March of 2016. He was around 14 at the time, had poor vision and poor hearing and the vet diagnosed him with dementia. I am a sucker for Jack Russell terriers and even though we had never dealt with a special needs pet before, we couldn't say no to his cute face. We said at the time that whether Tripp lived 3 months or 3 years, it would be the best… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Major

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on January 18th, 2019
"Dr. Amy, who came to the house, could not have been better with Major and also with me. It was a horrible decision to have to make as I loved him so, but I know it…"
Major was adopted by me at a no-kill facility in Muskegon. He was only 5 then and we enjoyed him for 8 short years. God sent him to me and I miss him so very much and see him everywhere. He had a good life here and especially loved our daily walks in the woods, as I did.         P.S. he was a border collie/lab mix, 85 lbs. Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Aries

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on December 28th, 2018
"I could not have asked for a better and more peaceful end for him. Amy was great - very gentle and reassuring. She helped make a very difficult decision easy to make. Thank you everyone for…"
Aries became my dog after my son died unexpectedly - he only had him 3 weeks. I was a little unsure about keeping him, but he really helped me after Chris died. If he saw I was feeling down, he would bring a toy and want me to play with him. For the next 8 and a half years he was a great companion. Even after his health began to fail due to cancer, he… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Harley

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on December 20th, 2018
"Thank you so much for helping us with this transition. Being able to have Harley home, comfy in his bed for his last moments was priceless. Your comforting words and gestures helped so much, Dr. Tay."
Our pup, Harley, had surgery on November 12 to remove a blockage in his intestines. We didn't know what the problem was at the time, he was refusing all food and we had to force water into him. The surgery revealed a malignant tumor that was causing a blockage in his intestines. No wonder he had lost 15 pounds over the course of a month! The veterinarian was able to remove the worst of it… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Curby

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on October 24th, 2018
"Words cannot express how thankful I am for Heaven at Home and the service you provide! It was such a hard decision to let Curby go and I refused to let him go at the vet's…"
My wife and I adopted Curby from an animal rescue along with Autumn, a female mix that was much older than he, but cared for him like he was her own puppy. Curby was just 6-9 months old. That was in Jan of 2006. We soon found out that he was born with bad hip dysplasia, but that never stopped Curby! His favorite toy all his life was a bright orange rubber ball, and his… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Boo

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on July 21st, 2018
"Dr. Brush and the staff was wonderful. Nobody wants to say goodbye to their beloved pets but Heaven at Home allows you to do this in the comfort of your own home. Dr. Brush allowed us…"
July 9 was one of the hardest and saddest days of our lives as we had to say goodbye to Boo. He left us and made his journey across the rainbow bridge. He was a month shy of his 11th birthday. There are no words to thank Dr. Brush from Heaven at Home who came to our house and allowed us to honor, grieve and come to a place where we could lovingly let Boo… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Leemore

By Anonymous Pet Parent published on June 25th, 2018
"Thank You for what you do, it meant the world to us to say goodbye to our dog in our own home and Dr. Brush you were so comforting. I can't thank you enough! You are…"
Our sweet, handsome boy passed peacefully at home last night with the help of Dr. Brush. He was a Bernese Mountain Dog who would have been 14 years old September 11. He was given to me after I was divorced and I credit him for saving my life after the divorce and helping me to learn to live and love again. I remarried 4 years later to a wonderful man who became the best daddy… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Shia

By The Wheeler Family published on May 23rd, 2018
"Wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge where there is always warmth and sunshine which was your favorite. I can picture you in my head running full speed again like you used to, grass flying up…"
Shia was born in May of 2003. Mom and Dad found her at a Puppy Half Way House in Greenville. Her and her sister came out and Shia be-lined for mom and dad while her sister went straight for the food. It really is true that they choose you. It was meant to be. She even fake puked and they got her cheaper, although looking back with what we know now, they would have paid… Read The Rest of This Memorial

In Memoriam: Bear

By Megan & Garrett published on April 7th, 2016
"In lieu of flowers and milkbones, Bear would like you to adopt a senior pet from your local shelter."
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Bear, Bearinga, Bear Soup, Bearcephus.... after Degenerative Myelopathy and a necrotic mass became too difficult for his day to day. He was born in July of 2000 and lived to a ripe age of 15.5, the last 3+ years of which we got to be his people. He enjoyed car rides with the windows down, romping through the woods, face… Read The Rest of This Memorial
